Funeral Cover

In the unfortunate event of death within 30 days of collecting a transfer, a one-time payment of $250 will be made to your nominated beneficiary.

Hospital Cover

If you are hospitalized within 30 days of collecting a transfer, you will receive a hospital cashback benefit of $50 for each day after 48 hours of hospitalization, up to a maximum of 5 days.

Eligibility Criteria

Recipient: the recipient of the funds is the life assured.

Minimum Transfer Amount: The transfer must meet the minimum threshold value of USD 50.

Age Limit: Cover is available to individuals aged below 70

Funeral Cash plan

  • Required documents:
  • Death Certificate
  • Fully completed claim form
  • Burial Order
  • Accident Report (if applicable)
  • Police Report (if applicable)
  • Proof of identity of both beneficiary and deceased
  • Copy of BD 11/2

Hospital Cash Plan

  • Required documents:
  • National indentification
  • Hospital admission and discharge forms
  • Medical report
  • Completed claim form

Commencement Date: Cover starts the day after remittance collection.
Notice Period: Claims must be notified within 30 days of the claim event.
Policy Currency: USD

 

Renewal:

Coverage is renewed each time you collect new money through ZikiCash and opt for the cover.

  • Underwriting: No underwriting is required at policy issue.
  • Cooling-off Period: None
  • Surrender Value: None

 

Exclusions

  • Claims resulting from:
  • The assured’s own act.
  • Participation in war or acts of war.
  • Participation in civil unrest, terrorism, or similar activities.
  • Radioactivity and nuclear explosions.
  • Wilful breaking of any law.
  • Excessive consumption of alcohol or drugs (unless prescribed).
  • Participation in hazardous pursuits.
  • Epidemics declared by WHO.

 

Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
